The Vex Robotics challenge is created to allow students to use their ideas to plan, design, build, and then compete with robots. With many competitions, it has allowed students to innovate with their own design to compete. The competition changes every year forcing new ideas to be created and for students to have a taste of what engineering is like. Ask your local school county if your school is interested in joining the vex robotics program.

Us at Abraham Lincoln Middle School have competed in both Vex IQ Robotics and the Vex Robotics Competition. We started last year competing in the Vex IQ competition. Our VRC team has qualified for states after competing against high school teams, and our IQ team has qualified for worlds in last years competition Bankshot. In the future Lincoln plans on going to worlds and encouraging engineering and STEM to other schools.

The competitions that are held by are robotics program have schools that come from all over Florida. They are run by many sponsors and volunteers including our schools mentors, teachers, and parents.
